Dollywood Splash Country Neon Nights 2026: Dates, Tickets & What to Expect

By Zane Gilbert

Most water parks shut down when the sun goes down. Dollywood's Splash Country is doing something different this summer. Starting June 19, the park transforms on select Friday and Saturday nights into something that has no precedent in its 26-year history — neon lights across the slides and pools, high-energy music, lighter crowds, and the kind of after-dark atmosphere that makes a familiar place feel entirely new.

They're calling it Neon Nights, and it's the most interesting new addition to the Smoky Mountains summer event calendar in 2026.

What Is Neon Nights at Dollywood's Splash Country?

Neon Nights is a brand-new, separately ticketed after-hours event at Dollywood's Splash Country running on select Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The water park transforms with neon lights, immersive glow experiences, and high-energy entertainment, with guests enjoying select favorite attractions, lighter crowds, and event-exclusive dining and merchandise options.

"Neon Nights is unlike anything our guests have experienced at Splash Country before," said Jordan Leach, Director of Operations. "We wanted to offer our guests an opportunity to enjoy the water park in a unique way that felt like it was created just for them. With exclusive experiences and lighter crowds, we are excited to welcome guests after dark."

The lighter crowd element is worth paying attention to. Dollywood's Splash Country draws significant summer traffic during regular daytime hours, and popular slides can have long waits on peak days. The after-hours format changes that math considerably — you're working with a smaller ticket pool by design, which means more time on the water and less time in line.

2026 Neon Nights Dates

Neon Nights takes place from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the following dates: June 19, 20, 26, 27, July 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and August 1.

That's 14 event nights spread across six weeks of summer — enough to work into most vacation itineraries without requiring precise timing. The July dates in particular align well with the broader holiday weekend traffic in the Smokies, making Neon Nights a natural add-on for anyone already in the area for the Fourth of July celebrations in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Tickets and Pricing

Event-only tickets can be purchased for $39.99 plus tax, or bundled with a one-day admission to Dollywood's Splash Country for $94.99 plus tax. Dollywood Gold and Diamond Passholders receive discounted pricing.

The event-only ticket at $39.99 is the better value for families who have already spent a full day at the park or who are coming specifically for the evening experience. The bundle at $94.99 makes more sense for a first visit where you want to combine a full day of slides and pools with the after-dark event — effectively two experiences in one admission price.

Tickets are available now at dollywood.com. Given the limited capacity format, buying in advance rather than at the gate is the smarter move.

What to Expect Inside the Park

The Neon Nights experience is built around the visual transformation of the park itself. Neon lighting, glow elements, and immersive color installations change the look of the 35-acre property considerably from its daytime state. The high-energy music component — with DJs providing the soundtrack for the evening — keeps the energy up across the grounds.

Select water attractions remain open throughout the event, which means actual water park use, not just a light show. The combination of slides, pools, neon, and music in a lower-crowd environment is what makes this format distinct from a typical theme park nighttime event.

Fresh menu items make a splash this season at several of the water park's culinary locations, including Firecracker Street Corn featuring fire-roasted corn, cilantro lime crema, cotija cheese, and a spicy crunch topping — available during Neon Nights alongside other event-exclusive food options. If you're planning a full evening, eating at the park is a reasonable part of the plan rather than an afterthought.

Event-exclusive merchandise is also available during Neon Nights for anyone looking for a souvenir specific to the experience.

How Neon Nights Fits Into a Summer Trip

The 7:30 p.m. start time is the key logistical detail. It means Neon Nights works as a standalone evening plan — you're not competing with daytime activities, and you're done by 10:30 p.m., which is a reasonable end time for families with kids.

A few ways this fits naturally into a Smokies itinerary:

A morning hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, lunch back at the cabin, an afternoon at leisure, then Neon Nights in the evening makes for a well-balanced summer day that hits both the natural and entertainment sides of what the area offers.

For July 3rd specifically, Neon Nights runs the same evening as the Craig Morgan concert at Pigeon Forge's Patriot Festival — both events are in Pigeon Forge and within a short drive of each other, though the timing overlaps. July 4th Neon Nights runs earlier in the evening before the fireworks finales in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, making it workable as a first-half-of-the-night plan before heading toward a fireworks viewing location.

Daytime at Splash Country: What Else Is There

Splash Bash LIVE is back at Dollywood's Splash Country for 2026, with live DJ sets on most Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays all summer long at the Mountain Waves wave pool. If you're visiting during the day, that's a nice addition to the standard water park experience.

Splash Country runs daily from May 23 through August 9, then weekends and select weekdays through September 20. The park covers 35 acres and includes a range of slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and family-friendly attractions across the property. It's a full-day destination on its own before Neon Nights even enters the picture.

Getting There and Parking

Dollywood's Splash Country is located adjacent to Dollywood theme park at 2700 Dollywood Parks Blvd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Parking is available on-site. On Neon Nights dates, the evening start time means you're arriving as daytime traffic is clearing out — which actually makes the parking situation easier than a mid-morning arrival on a busy summer day.

The park is roughly 10 to 15 minutes from most cabin areas in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, and about 25 minutes from Gatlinburg.

Planning Your Stay

Neon Nights runs Friday and Saturday evenings through August 1 — which maps neatly onto the heart of Smoky Mountains summer season. If you're planning a cabin stay in the area and want to build an evening around this, the Pigeon Forge and Sevierville areas put you closest to the park.

Our cabin portfolio opens for bookings starting July 1 — take a look at what we have available for summer stays at smokiestays.com/cabins. A cabin base camp makes an evening like Neon Nights work considerably better than a hotel room when you want somewhere comfortable to return to after 10:30 p.m.
